Love the watercolor effect and the beautiful balance of light and shadow, density and space.

She was an American dancer and choreographer at the turn of the 20th century.  What a dress!  This image makes me wonder about her life story and all the adventures she must have had.

Great use of positive and negative space. Especially love how the tree trunks turn from black to white based on the background, but the eye does not lose the continuity of their form.

Zack Griffin built this 112-ft tiny house to spend six weeks bumming across the west with fellow skiers Molly Baker and Neil Provo in search of great snow and good people for Outdoor Research’s Sidecountry Sessions.

Completely ridiculous and awesome at the same time.

The universe is not made of atoms; it’s made of [tiny] stories.

I just bought this small book yesterday (1/2/12) at Barns&Noble and I absolutely fell in love. It’s so charming—like a small book of smiles.

Directed by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, each page has a tiny one page story (no more than a few sentences like the ones above) accompanied with an original illustration put together for that story. It features about 60 artists and there will be 3 volumes. I can’t resist but to plan on getting them all. I highly recommend you do too. ♥

The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories: Volume 1 brings together art and voices from around the world to unite and tell stories that defy size.” -Hitrecord

This reminds me of my favorite game designer Digital Stoneworks, who write: “The cornerstone of our architectural design and the plumbing behind our products, the Digital Stoneworks Story Platform is organized around the concept of Story as atomic unit of culture, enabled by the power of digital media to convey those stories.”
